As you travel towards Uluru, its vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting its presence in this country.
Your guide will take you to a special location to watch the sunrise over this monolith. You will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) and hear about the Mala people. After breakfast you will visit Mutijulu Waterhole and then drive around the base of the Uluru before returning to the Resort.

As you start your sunrise trek around the 10km base trail of Uluru, you will embrace the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this amazing monolith.
Your guide will tell you the Tjukurpa (Dreaming) stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python), as well as many other Aboriginal creation stories associated with this central Australian icon.
Along the trail you will witness sunrise, visit waterholes, rock art sites and learn of Uluru’s cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people.

Departing from Ayers Rock Resort, you will travel south of Uluru to the homelands of the Uluru Traditional Owners. You will make various stops along the way to hear and experience how life once was and where it is today.
With views of Uluru in the distance as you travel, visit the area where the original Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park gates once were, rock waterholes and experience the ever changing environments.
Enjoy morning tea as you chat with your Indigenous guide. Travel on remote bush tracks and take in some spectacular views of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and the outback desert landscape before a light lunch. Finish your afternoon off with a sunset on a private sand dune overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
Tour operates Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from November to March.
