- 60 minutes prior to sunrise
Rise early and travel to the base of Uluru to enjoy a light breakfast with tea or coffee before embarking on a guided base walk of Uluru. You will take in the full circumference of Uluru and visit sacred sites, waterholes and rock art.
Visit the first of the sacred sites, Kuniya Piti and listen to the creation story of the Mala men. Continue on to the Mala Walk and uncover the story of the Hare Wallaby people then visit Kantju Gorge, where during rainfall, water can cascade over the side of Uluru and plunge some 90 metres.
After a short break, continue on along the Lungkata Walk where your guide will tell you the story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard. The last section of the walk will take in the famous Mutitjulu Waterhole, which was once a valuable source of water for the local community. Here you'll discover ancient rock art and learn about the Indigenous and European history of Uluru.

Rise early to travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee as you watch the changing colours of Uluru as the outback awakens to the first sunlight of the day.
Travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta and admire panoramic views of the southern side before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Explore the gorge and its unusual conglomerate rock formations before following a walking trail through Walpa Gorge.

You will travel around the base of Uluru in the comfort of your coach as your driver guide provides commentary about the numerous sacred sites and features to be found at Uluru.
Continue to the Kuniya Walk where your driver guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as your driver guide points out some native flora and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru.
Later, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts.
In the late afternoon, travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine.
